Research Experience:
Dr.
Goutham has done his PhD research in pavement materials on the thesis titled “Experimental
Investigation of Stone Matrix Asphalt Mixtures”. He had worked in National
Institute of Technology Calicut for about a year and from December 2016, he has
been working in VIT Chennai. His areas of research include Pavement materials,
design and construction, Bituminous mixtures, Soil stabilization, etc. He had
guided 12 B Tech major projects and 2 M Tech theses works. He has 11 journal
papers and 17 conference papers in his credit, and out of which 12 papers are
Scopus indexed and 3 are SCI indexed. He has also contributed a chapter in the
book “Use of Recycled Plastics in
Eco-efficient Concrete”, published by Woodhead Publishing Series in
Civil and Structural Engineering, Elsevier. The Department of Science and
Technology of the Government of India has provided him the International Travel
Support to participate and present his paper in an ASCE conference held in
Orlando, USA during 2014. He also actively involves in reviewing manuscripts
for reputed conferences and journals including International Journal of
Pavement Engineering, Road Materials and Pavement Design, Transportation
Geotechnics, Construction and Building Materials, etc.
